Headcorn Surgery Announces Retirement of Managing Partner/Practice Manager and GP Partner

Posted on:

Headcorn Surgery would like to bid a fond farewell to Anne Bristow, Managing Partner, and Dr Karen Potterton, GP Partner, as they embark on their well-deserved retirements. Anne has been with us since 2003 (21 years), and Karen joined us in 2016. Together, they have guided the surgery through the highs and lows of the ever-changing landscape of the NHS, especially through the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring we have remained steadfast in our commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients and community. Their dedication and expertise have been invaluable to the practice and community.

Stepping into the role of Practice Manager is Joanne Denness. With her wealth of experience and commitment to excellent patient care, we are thrilled to welcome Joanne into this pivotal position. Additionally, Suzannah Link has been appointed Operations Manager, bringing her skills and leadership to the team.

Moreover, we are excited to confirm our merger with Greensand Health Centre in Linton. This merger not only expands our reach but also enhances the services we can offer. As a result, we are pleased to announce the appointment of a dedicated pharmacy team, who will ensure efficient handling of medications for our patients, as well as the availability of more clinicians to cater to the growing needs of our patients.

Furthermore, we are excited to announce the launch of our community sensory garden, a serene space designed to enhance the well-being of our patients and the wider community. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting holistic health and fostering a sense of belonging.

As we bid farewell to Anne and Dr Potterton, we look forward to a new chapter with Joanne Denness and Suzannah Link at the helm, and the exciting opportunities that our merger brings.
